A southern girl at heart, transplanted in Washington, DC., I am inspired by a passion for cooking, baking and beautiful food presentation. My early years were spent in the kitchen with my Southern-bred grandparents, aunts and mom. As a teen, my dream was to open restaurants and a Bed and Breakfast on the coast of North Carolina, but life took a different path. Years later, the dream was revived when I had the opportunity to promote the Junior League of Pine Bluff cookbooks by preparing dishes on live TV on KATV’s ‘Midday Arkansas’, and LOVED it!! Hearing the Producer tell me that I should be on a SHOW, I was determined to make my dream come full circle!
Kellee's Kitchen was in my heart years ago...but after a divorce, and years of being a stay-at-home mom, I returned back to work full-time. Again, my dream was put on hold. However, I couldn't ignore the pull at my heart. I still have the demands of my full-time career, I am still a single parent to two teenagers...but God! With the push and support of my village, and a huge leap of faith, I have turned my passion into my business!
The Banana Split Dessert, a recipe shared by my Mom, started it all! I thought this delightful spin on an ice cream sundae would layer perfectly in a Mason Jar...and the desserts in a jar became the signature of Kellee’s Kitchen. I took this dessert to NYC for an audition on MasterChef, tasted by none other than Joe Bastianich- and, he LOVED it!!
Serving a variety of desserts in Mason Jars, it has become a favorite for individual treats and dessert tables for events! The best desserts are fresh and handcrafted just for you!
