A southern girl at heart and now rooted in Washington, D.C., my love for cooking, baking, and beautiful food presentation is woven into who I am. I grew up in the kitchen with my Southern-bred grandparents, aunts, and mom—who taught me that food is love!
As a teenager, I dreamed of opening restaurants and a cozy bed-and-breakfast along the North Carolina coast. Life, however, had other plans. That spark was rekindled years later when I had the chance to showcase recipes from the Junior League of Pine Bluff cookbooks on KATV’s Midday Arkansas. Cooking on live television lit me up, and when the producer told me I belonged on a show, I felt my old dream waking back up.
Kellee’s Kitchen had lived in my heart for years, but after a divorce and time spent as a stay-at-home mom, I returned to full-time work and once again tucked the dream away. Still, the pull never left. Balancing a demanding career and single motherhood, I leaned on faith, my village, and a whole lot of courage to finally step into what I knew I was meant to do.
It all began with the Banana Split Dessert—my mom’s recipe, and the spark behind the signature Mason jar desserts Kellee’s Kitchen is known for today. I knew it would be magic layered in a jar, and I put it to the test when I auditioned for MasterChef in New York City. Joe Bastianich tasted it…and he loved it!
Today, Kellee’s Kitchen offers a variety of handcrafted desserts served in charming Mason jars—perfect for personal treats, celebrations, and beautifully curated dessert tables. Every dessert is made fresh, with intention, and with the same love that filled the kitchens I grew up in.
The dream came full circle—and I’m just getting started.
